Day 01/ Kanyakumari

Then off to the Thanumalayan Temple in Suchindram, an architectural spectacle erected in the sixteenth century with its huge seven storied pyramidal gopurams. The temple also has the famous seven pillars which emit sounds of different musical instruments when struck. The temple also boasts one of the tallest statues in India which stands at 22 feet and carved out of a single granite block. Day 02/ Nagercoil

Day 02 / Nagercoil Start from Nagercoil and first stop is at the Padmanabhapuram Palace, nestled at the foot hills of Veli mountains, a part of Western Ghats. The palace is built in Kerala style architecture and boasts unique mural paintings, which decorate the central hall. Therafter, proceed to Mathur hanging trough, the highest and longest in South Asia built over Pahrali River. Day 03/ Rameswaram

First stop is the Ramanathaswamy temple, which is world famous for its gargantuan and beautifully sculptured pillars. The corridor of the temple is considered the longest in the world. Day 04/ Rameswaram

The temple is renowned for its breath taking 33,000 sculptures and 14 lofty, splendid and colossal towers, ideally situated at the heart of Madurai. The temple complex is the largest in the state of Tamil Nadu, spread on a whopping 45 acres! Next stop is Mariamman Teppakkulam, with an island at the center, built around 1500AD. Chitharal is a rustic hamlet located at a distance of 7 km from Marthandam. Chitharal was historically known as Thiucharanathupalli – meaning the house of the Jain monks belonging to the Digambara sect. The temple is situated atop a rugged hill and the ancient and historically significant place was much revered by Jains in days of yore. It was converted in to a Hindu temple in 1250 and an image of Bhagavathy was installed. The rock carvings here are very Jainistic in character and throw light on the religious and historical richness of the place. The name ‘Thirucharanam Malai” means holy hill of the Charanas which indicate that Jainism thrived here years ago. It is said that the disciples of a Jain ascetic named Bhadrabahu reached Chitharal to spread Jainism during the time of Chandra Gupta Maurya. Jainism declined during the period of Chola dynasty in the 11th century. A mesmerizing view of Western Ghats can be had from the hill top. The enigmatic nature in and around the temple lends a mysterious and divine feel to the place.
