A perfect romantic spot and rightly termed, the “Queen of hill stations”, Qotty also known as Udhagamandalam is nestled in the lap of luscious Nilgiri or Blue mountains. Situated at an altitude of 2,240m above sea level, Ootty provides a perfect respite for couples. Ootty is a hill station strewn with lakes, streams, gardens and colonial architecture. 

Day 01:
Check in at the hotel, refresh and proceed for sightseeing. First stop is the Valley View, considered the Switzerland of Southern India, then on to the enchantingSimp’s Park, and Dolphin’s Nose where one can indulge in hiking, trekking and horse riding and then on to Lamb’s Roc and  Tea Garden at Connoor. Can also take a  toy train trip and can enjoy boating at the famous lake and later visit DoddaBetta, which literally means ‘Big Mountain’. DoddaBetta is at the junction of Western and Eastern Ghats and provide stunning views of Nilgiri hills. Sunset is spectacular from this spot. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02
After breakfast, experience a mystical journey from Ooty to Madhumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. The drive through the tea gardens, gushing rivulets and the lush green deciduous forests is an experience in itself. Situated at an altitude of 1,140 meters, the sanctuary is a haven for nature lovers. Home to a wide variety of fauna and flora, it is a paradise on earth and a real treat to your eyes and ears. One can also visit the elephant camp in Theppakkaduwhich is located within the sanctuary. Many endangered species of birds can be found in the sanctuary. Back to Ooty and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03
Third day takes one to a mesmerizing world with breath taking view of Kalhatty Waterfalls. Situated on the slopes of Kalhatty, the magnanimous Kalhatty Waterfalls is splendid in the midst of picturesque landscapes. The luscious greenery is soothing to the eyes, rejuvenating to the body and therapeutic for the soul! The waterfall plunges from a height of hundred feet and the thunderous descend is a music to the ears! The area is adorned with virgin forests on both sides which is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora. Next stop of the day is panoramic Pykara, which is 21 kilometers from Ooty. The river Pykara forms exquisite cascades, dazzling waterfalls and gushing rivulets as it plummets from the Mukurthi peak. The expansive meadows of Pykara are home to the Toda tribes and they consider the river sacred. Drive back to the hotel and overnight stay there.

Check out after breakfast and proceed to Coimbatore airport or railway station. If time permits, can do a round of the town and do some quick souvenir shopping.
